Standard Blast Machine General Information

Hodge Clemco Ltd have produced a range of standard air-operated blast cleaning machines since 1959.  These operating instructions contain the basic information on the installation, operation, commissioning and maintenance of the models 1028NC, 1440NC, 2040NC and 2452NC.  It is essential that the advice and instructions contained in this manual are complied with at all times.

European Pressure Vessels Directive

Hodge Clemco blast cleaning machines are in conformity with the applicable requirements of the following standard documents:

European Pressure Vessels Directive (PED) 97/23/EC supersedes 98/37/EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC

The PED Directive 97/23/EC Standards:  EN-288 (Approval of Welding Procedure)

The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Standards:
EN-792 -10/:2000+A1:2008 – (Hand Held Non-Electric Power Tools
EN ISO 14121-1-2007 – (Safety of Machinery- Risk Assessment)

EC Declaration of Conformity

We HODGE CLEMCO LTD declare that the supplied equipment when installed and used in accordance with this owners manual, conforms with the essential health and safety requirements of the above Directive(s).


Warranty

Any machine which fails within one year (365 days) of despatch date, through faulty materials and workmanship, will be replaced free of charge.  This is subject to operating the system correctly and as specified in this manual.  The cost of any labour is excluded.  All products are sold without liability for consequential loss of any description.  The conditions and length of warranty may be altered with prior written agreement between the manufacturer and customer. The warranty does not apply to consumable spares.

Please note non-approved spares not only invalidate your warranty but affects health and safety regulations.

Machine Identification

There is a plate riveted to the front of the machine which states the model, the serial number of the machine, the design pressure, the test date, the minimum and maximum working temperature, the hydraulic pressure, the year of manufacture, and the Pressure Directive.
